Windsor Siding (rear section off Alpha Place)
Land Manager: City of Stonnington
Traditional Custodians: Bunurong

The theme for this site is Resting from a Journey
Planting on this site by Rewilding Stonnington and local volunteers complements works undertaken by Council across Windsor Siding Reserve under the Master Plan adopted in 2015. Familiar to locals as the site of the old Will Sampson Community Centre, the site when work commenced in 2025 was open and grassed, with some bushes and established trees. The proposed project design, developed in consultation with Robert Ogden of Tarwin Cultural Services representing Traditional Custodians, suggests undulating landscape through strategic plant selection (EVC 55/56).
A mosaic of mounding plants, ground cover and grasses invites exploration, while taller shrubs in the S-W corner create a welcoming space for contemplation. A winding granitic pathway defines the main route, with spaces left for a yarning circle and grassed sit-down area.
Some new trees may be considered for variety and shade. Habitat will be enhanced with logs and rocks in planted zones.
