Rewilding Stonnington has a large-scale feeder catchment and habitat regeneration project in the planning stages for 2025-2027, in a co-design process with Traditional Owners and Elders. With support from immediate past MP for Higgins, Dr Michelle Anandah-Rajah, funding has now been confirmed from the Australian Government’s Urban Rivers and Catchments program. Regenerating: South Yarra to Windsor. Selected pilot sites are being negotiated with appropriate land managers, to initiate a biodiversity and access corridor from South Yarra to Windsor. Part of the Green Link Alliance proposal for the Sandringham railway corridor (Yarra River/Birrarung to Elster Creek), in collaboration with PECAN (Port Phillip Emergency Climate Action Network) and GECAN (Glen Eira Climate Action Network).
