The theme for this site is Urban Woodland restoration.

The site is dry and steeply sloped. Extant plantings include established native trees, with few intermediate levels or ground cover. Revegetation work will improve soil, reduce run off and add levels and layers to plantings, providing habitat for small birds and animals.

The site will be extensively mulched, with terracing (logs and/or secured planks) introduced where appropriate. Plants will be selected for hardiness and variety: strappy plants and grasses in the open understory, with sections of medium and high-density shrubs for habitat. Groundcover and other low plantings along pathways and near seating, will soften selected areas and control erosion.

New trees and nesting boxes may be considered where appropriate, to ensure ecological balance and longevity. Habitat will be enhanced with logs and rocks in planted zones.
