Hi Rewilders and friends,

We're getting it done!

We have held 5 !?! working bees on our new Regenerate! project sites since the start of October, in addition to our regular program at the stations and BEAMI Park.

Thanks to all the amazing volunteers who have turned up in sunshine and in rain, to give our local environment some love.

Exciting news - we're moving to a sheet mulching method at Windsor Siding Park, to make faster progress and get all our Stage 1 beds prepped in time for the summer heat.

Just 3 more sessions for 2025 - the next two Sundays at Windsor, then our final working bee and picnic at BEAMI in Malvern.

Upcoming Events: Please put these dates in your diary!

Sunday 30 November AND Sunday 7 December: 10am-12 noon. Regenerate! Project working bees at Windsor Siding Park (off Alpha Place). Look out for our bright green Rewilding trailer!

Sunday 14 December:10am-12 noon. Final working bee for the year! and picnic at BEAMI Park (cnr Beaven Ave and Milton Pde) Malvern. Bring food to share!

Working Bees for 2026: 10am-12 noon on the second and last Sundays of the month, March-December. Details TBC via the RS website and newsletters/posts in the New Year.

For New Volunteers

Working safely is our priority. All sessions start with a safety briefing, so please arrive on time wearing closed toed shoes, long pants and a hat. We can supply tools and gloves. If you bring your own, just make sure they are labelled! Bring water, dress for the weather and stay hydrated. Please advise the Safety Officer of any relevant medical conditions and take responsibility for bringing medication as required. Please note that anyone on site under the age of 18 must be under the supervision of a parent or guardian - we do ask that those intending to bring children advise us in advance. Most importantly, come along, join in and have fun!

There's a lot going on around the traps. Tomorrow, Saturday 29 November: 10am-12.30pm: VEFN AGM, online and 60 Leicester St Carlton. info@vefn.org.au 10am-2pm: Clean Waterways expo at U3A Hawthorn, 26 Sinclair Ave Glen Iris, presented by KooyongKoot Alliance in association with Melbourne Water, City of Boroondara and EPA Victoria. 10am-3pm: Envirofest - a day of activities to launch the new Port Phillip EcoCentre in association with St Kilda Botanical Gardens ------------------------------ New groups/networks: The new Kooyong Climate Action Group will hold its next meeting at Malvern Library 6pm on 2 December.
