After an unusually dry winter, the Bureau of Meteorology is predicting warm but wet conditions this spring.
We need the rain! cross fingers it keeps up.
We've been flat out in August and September. RS volunteers
visited Winter St Early Years Service in Malvern for a planting session with the kids;
distributed over 700 flyers and participated in community information sessions and meetings for the 3 Regenerate! project sites on Council land;
delivered workshops and helped out at Council's Plant Giveaway Day in Prahran Square.
We had a lovely day for our regular working bee at BEAMI park on 14 September.
And there's more ...
Induction sessions conducted by Council staff at 46 Osborne St and WM Dane Reserve, 24 September

Regenerate! Project update
Good news! We're digging dirt at last. Agreements with City of Stonnington and Melbourne Water covering four new project sites have now been signed, with detailed discussions in progress.
The OK to start work in the pocket park at Osborne St SY came through from Council on Friday afternoon. We celebrated with our very first scratch working bee for the project on Sunday morning 5/10! A small but doughty crew of RS volunteers got stuck into weeding and pulling out ivy, cheered on by a stream of passing locals and a couple of curious magpies.
Thanks to everyone who has stepped up to get us this far: more details (and hopefully a schedule for work on all 3 Council sites) coming very soon!
