Child Safe Policy Update

Rewilding Stonnington is delighted to announce the adoption of a Child Safe Policy and Code of Conduct, to back up our new Public Liability, Volunteers Personal Injury and association liability insurance package. We will at last be able to welcome children and families to our activities - something we have wanted to do for a long time.  If you are planning to bring someone under 18 along to a working bee please do let us know in advance! We're treading carefully but excited to be able to extend our outreach, including holding events especially for children and families down the track.

Walks Project Update

RS and project partners are deep in discussions on possible revegetation sites with land managers including City of Stonnington and Melbourne Water. We're working hard, it's looking positive - can't say more at present but watch out for announcements in the not too distant future!

In other news:

Engage Victoria with the Department of Transport and Planning, is holding public consultations on proposed new protections for 17 Melbourne waterways including Kooyongkoot/Gardiners Creek. Consultations open until 16 March https://engage.vic.gov.au/planning-for-our-waterways

RS member Marion Miller is offering guided nature therapy walk and talk sessions in the Dandenongs  https://www.theecoretreat.com/public-walks
