In this edition, details of upcoming working bees and other exciting activities planned for the rest of July and August, plus snippets from our networks. Hope you can make it to one or more of the events below!

For all working bees: Meet on site for a safety briefing, then work as directed. Dress for the weather, wear a hat, gloves, long pants and solid-toed shoes, stay hydrated.

Tools, gloves and other basic safety gear and first aid supplies are available from the Rewilding Trailer. Feel free to bring your own hand tools but don’t forget to label them!

 

NEW: Walks in August!

 

We're excited to host the Stonnington Engaged Walk and Talk groups on Monday 21 and Thursday 24 August.

 Monday 21 August

10-11am

From Glenferrie Rd to BEAMI Park, through the grounds of Tooronga station and along Milton Pde

 A gentle, leisurely walk to introduce our revegetation work at the station and in the Tooronga precinct

Thursday 24 August

10-11am

 Indigenous Heritage Walk route, South Yarra to Windsor

A moderate-to-brisk walk, to introduce the route of our proposed Indigenous Heritage Walk along the Sandringham railway corridor

For Enviro Champs alumni, the next meeting of ELAN (Environmental Leaders Action Network) is 6-8pm this Thursday 20 July at the temporary EcoCentre location, 38 Blessington St St Kilda. Some spots are also still available for the Climate Cafe, 6.15-7.45pm Tuesday 25 July. Please RSVP to lisa@ecocentre.com

 

Our friends at ACF Malvern are hosting  Champions for the Gang-gang, a special art event for kids and families, at  Phoenix Park Community Centre 11am-12.30pm this coming Sunday 23 July.
